This fine book points out several
connections between Dakota potteries and Broadmoor Pottery in
Denver.
Dommel mentions that Howard Lewis of Dickinson Clay Products also worked at Broadmoor Pottery in Denver! The Dickota animal figures which are identical in form to Broadmoor's animals may have been the work of Lewis. Another probable influence of his at Broadmoor is shown with a Dickota-Broadmoor vase pair shown on page 61. The matte pink glaze over-sprayed with blue matte appears at both potteries. Table of contents. The very nice index is a plus. |
