Heimlich made this covered bowl using the Broadmoor Pottery process
from its closed Denver operation.

The
glaze and lacquered bottom are familiar to Broadmoor collectors. The
pink was produced at Colorado Springs but mostly later in Denver.

This
example was incised by May Heimlich for her sister Frances. May
co-founded Lakewood Pottery and used the old Broadmoor process and
molds in the 1940s. She later became known in the Denver area for her
carved and decorated work.
